This column notes that because the USDA and scientists keep doing 180s on what food is good for you or bad for you, you've probably missed out on eating some great food over the years. Butter was bad for you, so you ate crappy margarine, and now butter's fine and margarine's bad for you. Repeat this for many other food substitutions. If you find yourself stuck eating food that you don't like because "they" told you not to eat the stuff you like, blame the feds. (Philadelphia Magazine)
