That's No Fun. But Fun Is Probably Not The Goal

There's a private Catholic high school in Washington state that has a football team with players so big and advanced that other teams are refusing to play them and forfeiting instead, concerned that the injury risk is too high when the kids on the powerhouse team are much, much bigger than anyone on their own side. It's this lopsided: In the first three games of this season, this team outscored opponents 170-0. Is there something wrong about high schools recruiting football (and basketball) players that advanced and then booking smaller schools to beat up on? If a school goes out and pulls in advanced, pro-destined players, should they be restricted to playing only other schools doing the same thing? (Washington Post)
