Maybe It Was A Practice Call
-
A man whose 99-year-old mother went to the hospital for a sprained ankle got the call everyone dreads: Mom is dead. But, wait, he said, how can a sprained ankle kill even a 99-year-old? And that's when the nurse on the phone suddenly said, "Whoops, wrong person." Turned out she'd called the wrong family. Mom was alive; someone else's loved one, not so much. Mistakes happen, but should the hospital face any kind of penalty for something that surely scarred the son's psyche forever? (CTV News)
