The arrest of the CEO of Backpage on pimping charges is interesting insofar as he's not a pimp in the traditional sense. Backpage is the website that replaced the sex ads in the back of your local alternative weekly like the Village Voice or LA Weekly, an alternative to Craigslist personals. There's a lot of skeeziness there. But is having a website where people post sex that might (or might not) be for sale the same as actually being a pimp? Where do you draw the line for the website's responsibility? (CNN Money)
