But The L.A. KISS Is Still Alive, Right?
-
Arena Football's Orlando Predators have folded, and they blame the league's shrinkage - too few teams - and this isn't good news for the AFL, which... okay, let's be honest, does anyone actually watch arena football? The Predators have been one of the most successful franchises -- around for 25 seasons -- but even they only drew an announced 11,683 per game this season. The league is in trouble, but, really, the whole idea doesn't work. The USFL had the right idea in doing a spring-summer league until some owner drove them to move to the fall, where they couldn't compete with the NFL. Who was that owner? All I remember is that he had weird hair and kept saying everything was "yuge." (Orlando Sentinel)
