When is "unlimited" not unlimited? Cell phone plans, of course, which is why the feds have fined T-Mobile $7.5 million and the company has agreed to offer $35.5 million in discounts and data refunds to customers for throttling "unlimited" data customers. The company said that they only throttled the top 3% of data hogs, but if you read the fine print on those "unlimited" commercials, you'll notice things like restrictions on the quality of your video streaming -- 480p is fine, but better quality, nope -- and it's not like you're going to get LTE speeds for unlimited use. The CEO tweeted that the settlement was a "good" thing, because his company "believes more info is best for customers." So why don't the commercials spell out what they're really offering?
