Solution- Just Have Your Personal Assistant Wait On Line For You

We've had massive early voting queues in California over the weekend and I can understand it if you know you can't vote on Tuesday and didn't get an absentee ballot in time. But if you're just eager to vote, I think you'll have somewhat shorter waits on Tuesday itself if just because you're competing only with people in your precinct and not everyone in the county. I have friends who, as of this writing (Sunday midday), have been tweeting from the voting queue and are still waiting after hours of standing. We have a massive ballot with tons of referenda, so it's going to take a while. Which raises another question: Why do so many people go in undecided? Isn't the time to decide who and what you want to vote for BEFORE you walk into the booth? I have my choices written on a pad that I'll take in with me; it'll take maybe 2 minutes to dot the ballot and be done with it. How hard does it have to be? (KCBS-TV/Los Angeles)
