Why Religion And Politics Are Bad Conversation Topics At Work And With Family
-
The CEO of Grubhub sent a memo to his staff saying, essentially, that anyone working there who agrees with Trump's rhetoric should resign. Now, okay, you don't want a boss dictating political views to his or her employees, not ideally. But there's a line between telling employees they'll be fired if they voted for someone and telling them to quit if they agree with certain things a candidate said, and in this case it's the racist/sexist/anti-disabled stuff, which you can understand a boss wanting to keep out of the workplace. But, then again, if someone does their job and keeps the political/social stuff out of the office, is it the boss' business what the employee's political, social, or religious beliefs might be?
