Maybe They Can Just Live At Their Offices. The Employers Would Like That
-
This is a problem that's been reported on before, but is anyone going to address it? In Silicon Valley, the tech business continues to boom, but the people who work in it, no matter how much money they make, are having a hard time finding affordable housing, or any housing at all. People are living in trailer parks with Teslas in the driveway (literally so). Either you commute a long, long, LONG way every day or you... well, good luck. That's not the only place this is happening, either. New York, Los Angeles... and the crisis is even worse for service jobs. Who's going to work in your restaurants and stores or repair your house or serve as cops and fire fighters if they can't afford to live within 30 or more miles? (New York Times)
