You Could Switch To Molson, But They Cut Their Retirees' Free Beer Too
-
Labatt's, the Canadian brewery (it's owned by Anheuser-Busch InBev, so is it even Canadian anymore?), is cutting costs. Latest cut: the perk of free beer for life for its retirees. Over the next two years, that's over. The average was about 8 24-bottle cases every year. Current employees get a free case every other week and more at Christmas and Canada Day. How much, really, are they gonna save by cutting off retirees? (New York Times)
