The Job Comes Second
-
You sometimes wonder how journalists can stand by and report or take video when they witness horrific things; here's one of those video freelancers, the kind who grab video of crime scenes and sell the footage to local TV stations, who showed a very human and noble side to himself when he saw a car burst into flames at the roadside. Instead of getting the grisly video, he stopped shooting and ran into the flames to rescue the trapped driver. So to the question "could you stand by and not help if your job is to just record the action?," his answer is no. Which is pretty heroic. (KCBS-TV-KCAL-TV/Los Angeles)
