Been There, Done That, Bought The Hat

The Women's March was by most measures a success as a one-day deal: Big, attention-getting, peaceful. But the question is whether it can be sustained, and that goes to the tendency of people to show up for rallies or protests and then go home and feel "well, I've done MY part." One day doesn't make a difference if it's not followed by action, and when you have a huge event where 10 participants will give you 10 different reasons they're protesting, turning that into coherent and effective action will be difficult. Do you expect the aftermath of the marches to keep up the pressure? And for what? (Los Angeles Times)
