Or Maybe It Was Just The Work Of A Crazy Moron

In the aftermath of the Quebec City mosque murders, fingers are pointing at something that might make you think a little about what you do for a living: talk radio. See, in Quebec City, there's a tradition of sorts involving extreme political talk, featuring a few hosts who seem to always end up getting fired and then popping up on another station (unlike most U.S. stations, the Francophone stations in Quebec City will break format for talk on otherwise all-music stations). They tend not to be kind towards "others," obviously including Muslims. Is that rhetoric fuel for hatred that could lead to what happened the other night? Does it ever occur to you to turn down the heat sometimes in fear that someone will get inflamed enough to go do something terrible? (Washington Post)
