Whatever Happened To 'Close Enough For Government Work'?

This woman in Canada had problems collecting unemployment for an unforeseen reason: She discovered that, 53 years ago, they misspelled her name on her birth certificate, "Balinda" instead of "Belinda." You'd think they could fix that easily, and you'd be right, except that, initially, the bureaucrats said she'd have to go through a lengthy and expensive legal name changing process. It's being fixed, but it does raise the question: Do you even know if all the information the government has on you is accurate? Could this happen to you? (CTV News)
