Better To Admit It Than Cover It Up. Cover Ups Are Always A Bad Idea

Our local school board is apologizing after being reamed by parents for using dangerous pesticides on school grounds to kill gophers without notifying them first. There are anecdotes of kids feeling sick, but since you can't directly connect the illness to the pesticide (and since everyone around here's been catching the crud that's going around anyway), it's more of a case where the school board is being told that you can't do stuff like that without the decency to tell everyone first. And is that how it should be? What should school boards tell parents in advance? (Daily Breeze, Torrance)
