Moral - Sit In The Upper Deck. It's Safer

On the one hand, you DO have to be vigilant and the guy's story about how he got blinded by a foul ball at a Cleveland Indians game had some contradictions, so the jury rejecting his claim 100% isn't a shock. But it does raise the question again: Why, in 2017, aren't all ballparks equipped with netting that runs all the way down the line instead of just behind the plate? It only takes a split second of distraction to put fans in danger, and when there's a line drive or a broken bat flying into the stands, even paying rapt attention won't help you. Relying on the disclaimer on the back of the ticket shouldn't cut it anymore. (Cleveland Plain Dealer/Cleveland.com)
