A new drug for MS has been approved. Cost: $65,000 a year. Another got approved for eczema. Cost: $35,000 per year. And these are being praised for being cheaper than competing drugs. But that's assuming pricing is competitive, which it is not. And it gets back to the question of whether your survival should depend on if you can afford a drug. Or whether a drug company will even bother to do R&D for new drugs if they can't make insane profits. (CNN)
