Were There Camels In Ken Burns' 'Civil War'? Because I Don't Remember That
-
I did not know that they have a camel at the Jefferson Davis Library and Museum. I did not know there IS a Jefferson Davis Library and Museum. I'm not sure why people would go to the Jefferson Davis Library and Museum. People do, and one of them is suing the United Sons of Confederate Veterans Inc., which operates the venue, because, she says, she was attacked and bitten by the camel, Sir Camelot. She says she was walking across the grounds with her husband when the camel charged her. Employees there claim that Sir Camelot is not aggressive and just likes Dr. Pepper and coffee. Okay, but I still don't get why there's a camel at the home of the Confederate President. (Biloxxi Sun Herald)
