Parents Only Care That The Kids Are Out Of Their Hair For A Few Days
-
Every year, teens from Philly and the Jersey suburbs converge on a beach and a Wawa (really) in Margate at the shore, and it's gotten progressively more rowdy; this year, over Memorial Day weekend, there were brawls and rowdy behavior that drew police to break it up. The question is, where are the parents? These are suburban kids, so parents HAVE to know they've gone off to hang at the shore. And some of the adults in the video accompanying the story seem to take the "kids will be kids" approach and downplay the danger. But when you have hundreds of teens clustering together in a small area with no supervision, you're going to have problems. And where are the parents? (WPVI-TV/Philadelphia)
