Let's Not Even Mention The (Allegedly) Juiced Ball

They are, as you may know them, the "three true outcomes" in baseball: strikeouts, home runs, and walks. But lately, those three outcomes are making up an increasing percentage of the major league game, because pitchers now routinely hit 100 mph on the gun and batters have adjusted, reasoning that their best options is to swing for the fences or take. This, in turn, has rendered defense increasingly irrelevant and has stretched games well past the three-hour mark despite all the talk about doing things to speed up the game. It's... dare we say... boring? Can baseball survive this, or even do anything about it? (Washington Post)
