Might As Well Go For A Soda

Another bar that serves 3.2 beer is shutting down in the Twin Cities, and the number of places where it's served is down to a relative few in five states, and with Colorado and Oklahoma phasing it out over the next two years, only Minnesota, Utah, and Kansas will be left. The history is that 3.2 beer came into vogue during the latter stages of Prohibition when it was deemed that drinks with 3.2 percent or less alcohol weren't "alcoholic beverages." The last refuge is apparently at rural resorts where 3.2 licenses are easier to get, but especially with Minnesota eliminating the ban on Sunday liquor sales, the days of the 3.2 bars are pretty much over.
