One of the things mentioned by Derek Jeter's group in their quest to buy the Miami Marlins was their desire to get rid of that nightmarish Red Grooms homer sculpture in center field. Not so fast, captain: It's owned by Miami-Dade County, it's part of the Art in Public Places program, and the county says that the garish sculpture cannot be moved. It's there unless the county says it can be moved. Should it be moved? (Miami Herald)
