But All His Rowdy Friends Were Coming Over That Night. What Was He Supposed To Do?
-
When a politician -- from New Jersey, of all places, but from a rural part of the state -- poses with a Confederate flag at a Hank Williams Jr. concert and doubles down by not apologizing, you know times have changed. But I'd be more inclined to give him a pass -- it was a Hank Jr. flag with the singer's face right in the middle, and, well, it IS a Hank Williams Jr. concert -- if he hadn't been the sole abstention in a 73-0 vote to condemn Confederate flag displays and if his family farm (Space Farms - I remember that place from when I was a kid!) didn't name several groundhogs at the annual Groundhog Day event after Stonewall Jackson.
