California is considering something that a few jurisdictions have already done: banning the question of previous salary history from job applications and interviews. Simply, how is it okay for a prospective employer to ask that question? It gives them an immediate advantage in salary negotiations, and is really otherwise useless. Let them price the job and then negotiate up or down as appropriate. (Daily Breeze, Torrance)
