A new book points out something that's been debated in scientific circles for a while: The popularity of chicken as a meal came about after use of antibiotics became widespread, and those antibiotics being consumed through chicken may have led to more and more antibiotic-resistant infections, like staph. The question is whether you can give up eating chicken (and, for that matter, any meat from antibiotics-treated animals), or would be OK if they stop using antibiotics and the chickens are smaller.
