It's Not Normally Like This
-
Things aren't back to normal in Key West and won't likely be normal for a long time, but the tourists are back with the arrival of the first cruise ships. Some bars, including the ultimate tourist bar Sloppy Joe's on Duval Street, are open, and there's water and power and no curfew, but it can't be the same if the city's really, really quiet. The question is how soon you'd go back to a tourist spot after a disaster, and how that would feel when you know people died and houses and lives were destroyed. (Update: The city will officially be open for tourism on October 1st. But cruise ships are already venturing there.) (Miami Herald)
