If You Can Get The Time Off, That Is

I was going to skip this one, a AAA study that said a quarter of Americans prefer traveling in the Fall, but then I thought, you know, this isn't necessarily about leaf peeping. In fact, Fall travel is my favorite, especially to go to places like Europe, for this reason: Everything's still open but the crowds are gone. I've been in the UK, France, and Italy in November, and it was ideal: not too cold (not cold at all, actually), and the dreaded queues at places like the Colosseum, the Vatican, the Tower of London, the Louvre, the Uffizi... no problem. Even beaches are better in the off-season. Definitely travel in Fall. (CBS Local via KYW-TV/Philadelphia)
