At Least It's Something To Do
-
Today's depressing article comes from the Washington Post, which has this one stating an obvious truth: A lot of seniors will have to work until they die, because there's just not enough money in their accounts to retire on. And that's because, other than Social Security pay (which isn't much), people haven't been able to save -- you can claim they lived beyond their means, but have you SEEN what the cost of living is for people in a lot of the country? How can you save if you live and work in, say, here in California, or New York, or anyplace where housing is pricey? And even if you save, one health crisis and you're cooked. You can talk about the blue collar white factory workers as the "forgotten" people that voted for Trump, but the bigger story for the future is a senior demographic that can't make it on what they have and aren't being helped by anyone, and they didn't have ANYONE to vote for that cared even a little about them.
