Or The A-Hole Might Be You. Ever Think About THAT?
-
A Stanford professor wrote a book offering expert advice on how to deal with a-holes, and it's a follow-up to his "No A-Hole Rule" book (he does not edit the word). He defines a-holes as people who make you feel like crap, which in my case means a lot of people. So, how DO you deal with them? At work, you need to ask for a desk far away from the a-hole, assuming that the place isn't crawling with 'em. Keep a low profile, he recommends, and if you can, flatter the a-holes -- they like that. And best is to ignore them. But if you plan to fight them, plan it out, because if you forge ahead without a plan and without people to back you up, that could be worse. Anyway, what have you found effective? (Kansas City Star)
