This columnist did the DNA test from Ancestry.com. So did his sister. Their results were different. Does this mean they were wrong? No, it means that you can get different DNA markers for different offspring. And it means that interpreting the results is so tricky that there's no way to really tell who and where your ancestors were. In fact, you'd need to do DNA tests on people hundreds of years ago to track where people really were. So, if it's of dubious value, what's the point? (Philadelphia Inquirer)
