I Was Gonna Do A Krazy Kat-Ignatz Reference, But Nobody Would Get That Anymore
-
My dad was a school principal, and back when I was a kid he'd come home with stories about angry parents causing a scene at his school and his having to calm them down. He was good at that, and, thankfully, he closed out his career without a major incident. But maybe parents are getting worse. In Pittsburgh, a parent was so upset that her daughter was disciplined for fighting and biting a teacher when her cell phone was confiscated, she allegedly followed the teacher out of the school and hit her with a brick. A brick? That says a lot about where the kid learned to act up. Teaching is a pretty thankless job as it is; attacking them just makes it less likely people will ever want that job again.
