JetBlue, at least, is owning up to the mistake that airlines are making when buying new aircraft. I'm talking about the new ultra-compact lavatory configuration: If you haven't encountered it, they've made the traditional facing-each-other pair of lavs even smaller and narrower and placed them behind the galley facing forward. The result: You can barely turn around. It's incredibly narrow and shallow. I'm not a small man but I'm hardly massive, and I find those new lavatories really unpleasant and awkward to use. Sometimes redesign to save space goes too far; this is that. (Los Angeles Times)
