You Don't Have To Go Home But You Can't Stay Here
-
I've written about how homeless encampments caused problems along a renovated bike and jogging train along the Santa Ana River in Orange County, and, sure enough, the authorities have finally come in and cleared the homeless out, restoring the path for recreational use. And that's good, except for the Part 2 we knew would come: Where are the homeless gonna go? Where are they supposed to live if they don't have homes and there aren't enough beds in safe shelters? Where do you put them? Cars? Another park? Why do cities and counties not have comprehensive plans to deal with this problem, which is not new? (Los Angeles Times)
