Go Sort Of Northeast, Young Man. Not Too Far, Though. Just Up The 15 About 5 Hours

This column by Steve Lopez in the L.A. Times features people who left California for Las Vegas because California is now way too expensive to live the kind of comfortable life people want. It's possible to find a place with reasonable rent in Vegas, so if you can find work there and don't mind the heat, it's an option. But should people have to go places they don't necessarily want to go just to be able to afford a good life? And what's going to happen to places like this where you won't be able to find people who can work here and afford to live within a reasonable commute? Is this a bubble that has to burst? And are YOU willing to uproot everything in your life and go where it's more affordable? (Los Angeles Times)
