This consumer article notes that you're probably paying a lot for subscriptions, and not just the newspaper/magazine kind. How much are you paying for TV like Netflix, Hulu, and HBO? Are you paying for backup like Carbonite? How about music, or online storage, or those monthly "boxes" like LootCrate or Birchbox? The bottom line is that you might be overspending and not realize it because it's all relatively small monthly fees that add up. Or you're paying but getting value for it. I mean, yeah, we pay for online backup, but it's not like it's wasted money. Same for Netflix, which we do watch all the time. Yet you have to ask whether you NEED all the things you're signed up to get. (NerdWallet)
