A would-be Instagram star says that living life to post selfies of herself in glamorous locations and expensive clothes left her broke. She's repented by changing her ways and living frugally and cutting back on the Instagramming, but it's interesting that she, someone who has no real credentials doing anything at all, had over 12,000 followers on Instagram. Why? Is it toxic to society that people are following vapid non-celebrities who just post pictures of consumer excess? Are we teaching young people that spending all your money on fashion and travel is the way to live? (New York Post)
