There Were Better Places To Put It, Like Anywhere Else

A hospital in Long Beach is closing after nearly 100 years. Turns out it's sitting on an active quake fault line. That was some planning right there. They could have put that anywhere, especially 100 years ago when a lot of this area was still undeveloped. But no, they had to pick a fault line for a hospital. Yet... it's been almost a century and the building's still standing. That's either insanely lucky or really good construction. (KABC-TV/Los Angeles)
