They Didn't Even Bing Him
-
A seventh-grader at a Miami charter school suspected that her teacher was a little... off. So she Googled him. Sure enough, she found an old newspaper article about his being accused of inappropriate behavior with students at another school, leading to sanctions. She Snapchatted her findings, and the school fired the teacher. The question is, did the school do ANY background checks? How are they NOT routinely checking Google when hiring? And when the school principal and founder admits that they just assumed that since he was working at another school when he was hired, he must be OK, isn't that admitting that they didn't check into the guy's past at all?
