I Don't Go Out That Late Either, But It Was Nice To Know It Was There
-
Recently, an L.A. institution, Canter's Deli, announced that it would be cutting back its hours, closing (at least for eating in the restaurant; they'll still deliver) from 3 to 8 am except on the weekends. That's not because the restaurant itself is in trouble, but it's because the kind of people who used to go hang out in the deli for those hours now just want to stay home and get their matzoh ball soup delivered. They say Millennials and younger are the first youth generations who don't go out so much. Why is that? What's changed? (Los Angeles Times)
