Finally, a study offers hope of a real, quantifiable benefit for a lifestyle change: It says that if you do five things, you'll add over a decade to your life. The five things? Don't smoke; keep your BMI between 18.5 and 25; 30 minutes of moderate exercise a day; no more than one glass of wine a day for women and two for men; and eating fruit, vegetables and whole grains and less red meat, saturated fats and sugar.
