Fast, Sort Of. Furious, Yeah, Pretty Much

It's happened three weekends in a row: a bunch of drivers take over the same busy intersection in the Valley to do donuts and burnouts and other stuff at high speed, and it's not spontaneous: 50 to 100 people were there ready to watch, so it was planned. How did the cops not know this was going to happen? And why do people think it's perfectly OK to do stuff that endangers other, innocent drivers and pedestrians? The cops say that they can't stop these things with one or two cops. Okay, then, assign a squad. (Los Angeles Daily News)
