Rules Are Made To Be... Ignored If They're Stupid, Actually
-
The question I have for this Texas school district where one student says she's being told she can't go to the prom because she missed the deadline for buying tickets -- they admit it's not sold out -- is: why are tickets limited, anyway? I know, maybe you want some certainty as to how many people will attend, but it's not really all that limited-capacity an event. Figure that every kid in the class will want to go, and a certain percentage will have outside dates, and plan accordingly. And let this girl buy a freakin' ticket instead of claiming there's "nothing you can do." There IS something you can do, and that's to stop being sticklers for rules you made up yourself that don't really need to be enforced. (KTVT/Dallas-Fort Worth)
