This Is Gonna Have To Be Policed On The Honor System
-
Here's the age-old "can companies impose religious/political beliefs on employees?" topic again, this time a Philadelphia Bible distributor banning employees from sex outside of marriage, and banning gay marriage, too, and the justification is that, well, they're a religious company and the rules don't violate city anti-discrimination ordinances because they fall under the "religious activities" exemption. But is Bible distribution "religious activity" or just book distribution? Should they be able to intrude on employee's lives? Or is this a case of "you work for a religious company, you know what you're in for"? And how are they gonna enforce those rules? (Philadelphia Inquirer)
