They're Just Lucky She Doesn't Check Them As Baggage
-
Kirstie Allsopp, a TV real-estate-show host in the U.K., told an interviewer that sometimes she and her partner fly in business class while her two kids, 10 and 12 years old, sit in economy. Reasoning: It's a waste of money to put the kids in more expensive seats. This has, of course, touched off a social media firestorm, with some people saying she's abdicating her parental responsibilities and leaving supervision of the kids to the flight crew and others pointing out that the airlines themselves sometimes separate families just due to seating limitations. Would you stick your kids in coach while you fly in the pricier section? (BBC)
