Reading about how apartments cost a fortune in San Francisco, which we all know, but how you can get a nice place for half the rent if you're willing to live out in Vallejo, which is an hour ferry ride away and while gentrifying, still has a less stellar reputation than The City, I wonder if you can get a topic out of asking how long a commute people will put up with in order to be able to afford a nice place to live, and how important it is to live close to work or the cultural offerings of the big city.
