I'd Go With 'People's Republic Of Bob,' But That's Not Going To Be On The Ballot

Macedonia will hold a vote later this year to change its name to the Northern Republic of Macedonia. Why? What's the big difference? Simple: Greece, its neighbor to the south, was upset. See, they have a region also called Macedonia, and since the country Macedonia got its independence from Yugoslavia in 1991, there's been confusion. This name change is the result of a deal between the countries, allowing the country Macedonia to keep basically using the name, slightly altered, while Greece's Macedonia also remains Macedonia. Got that straight? Good. (CNN)
