Wait, Isn't Mindless Violent Lashing-Out Supposed To Make You Feel BETTER?
-
The Boston Red Sox' Carson Smith is out for the season and needs surgery on his shoulder, all because he angrily threw his glove after pitching poorly on May 14th. He dislocated his shoulder when he slammed his glove at the dugout bench, and now he may miss part of the 2019 season as well. A moment's frustration and anger can endanger your career, it seems. But you don't have to be a ballplayer to get in trouble that way; you may have punched a wall, or thrown something, or broken something, and ended up the worse for wear. So, has that happened to you? Did you break a bone while acting out in anger? (Boston Globe)
