Hmm... Judging By Your Credit Limit, You Have Two Years To Live

How is it that the U.S., an allegedly advanced, civilized nation, can be a place where Type I diabetes patients have to pay exorbitant prices for insulin, way, way more than in other countries, and for no other reason than that the manufacturers CAN charge more? How can we have a country that makes survival depend on how rich you are and whether you can get -- or afford -- insurance that covers your condition? Yeah, talking to you, anti-Obamacare people. Sure, Obamacare policies are expensive, but that can be fixed. Take away pre-existing conditions coverage requirements and the mandate, and then what? What's your solution? Let sick people die because you don't want to be required to have insurance? (Philadelphia Inquirer)
