Waze Fail

A family was ticketed to fly from their Oregon home to the Philippines on May 25th, and they checked in, but never boarded the flight, and they disappeared. But they were ultimately found weeks later, away from their car, in a remote area of northern British Columbia. They say they decided at the last minute to drive to Alaska rather than go to the Philippines. Who does that? And if you're going to go someplace like Alaska, wouldn't you do a little research on the route before driving and getting lost? They were without enough supplies for the trip, so... do you believe the story or do you think something else was going on? (Vancouver Sun)
