That's Okay, I'll Still Stand

What I want to know about the news that Los Angeles' Metro subway trains and buses will be replacing its cloth seats with plastic is who decided to make them cloth in the first place? Cloth is impossible to fully clean, and tends to soak up bodily fluids left there by some of your less refined riders, plus they make great repositories for bed bugs. You know that, I know that, anyone with a brain would know that and not order cloth seats. Yet someone, years ago, did. And as with any public project botched like this, I propose that we find out who made the initial decision and make THEM pay for changing the seats. (Los Angeles Times)
